Third Presentation Format and 150 Word Building Direction
Building Direction
As i did Australia Square Tower, By Harry Seidler, i wanted to keep the initial tower idea or concept the way it was, but change what the building is meant to be used as to enforce and encorporate my original theme of structure in a more clear and direct view. I was originally thinking of turning Australia Square Tower into a sort of Gallery but then decided to just leave it as an office building.
I have done quite a bit of research to gain some idea of how i should transform my building into an entirely new structure and was inspired especially by the architecture in Dubai. The buildings that i referenced to my own were the "Tall Emblem Structure Dubai" and "Blossoming Dubai". It matched perfectly to the structure requirements.
I have still maintained some features and elements of the original Australia Square Tower, so you can see what the old building looked like before it was transformed and to see some of the old characteristics after it has been completed.
I have mainly distorted, twisted and stretched the structures especially, as you can clearly see of the towers' external columns.
Third Presentation Format
The third technology i have chosen is Revit Architecture 2010 and BuildAR. I have decided to use BuildAR because as i had not successfully done an AR Video for the last project, i wanted to give it another shot to make sure i get it right this time round!
Revit, is an archtiectural program that helps create architectural documents for Construction Certificate and Development Application. It is very useful and measurements are always accurate and precise when drawing to scale. Also, when wanting to present a project to a client, it is handy to show a 3D model of that particular building which they can rotate around and even walk through it of their own will to see if it has satisfied their requirements, and Revit allows us to do that.
BuildAR, is a program where you can export models from other programs into this, and by using a webcam, people can view the model in 3D, by just placing a black marker of any sort in front of the webcam and as long as you have adjusted the position of the model, the model will turn appear just fine, above the marker .
These different features are a great way in advertising a building and their specifications to great detail, especially when presenting it in a meeting or to your client.
I hope by showing the AR video, it can clearly show the different structure compared to the original Australia Square Tower.
